Biodiversity-friendly planning
The goal of the application "biodiversity-friendly planning" is to integratively incorporate flora and fauna into the project planning of buildings, facilities, and infrastructure measures. The aim is to minimize the impact on species during the construction phase. Stable populations are targeted for the usage phase. There is a fundamental shift from merely identifying and protecting species for legal reasons to integrating them into the project.
In terms of biodiversity-friendly planning, it is essential to define which species will be affected by the project and how to protect them. Here, it is necessary to identify target species, describe site conditions, and develop specific conversation concepts. The risk strategy of ESGEVA supports this process.
With knowledge of the needs of the target species, planners can integrate conservation concepts into the planning. "Biodiversity-friendly Planning" (BFP) does not replace traditional conservation procedures but should be understood as a supportive tool for planners.
BFP can serve as a planning foundation for "Ecological Construction Supervision" during the execution phase.
